What will training involve?

Contact Phil to discuss what you require, or explain if you have a problem, he will then  agree a convenient time for meeting up for an assessment.

He prefers this done with the dog present in it’s own home environment together with those involved. It usually takes up to 2 hours and  you can discuss what you want to achieve from the training and Phil will  offer suggestions and demonstrate training techniques to help you.

As this can be quite a lot to remember, you will  receive a letter with everything that has been discussed in this session including your tailor made training plan.

Phil will suggest a timescale to enable you to implement your training techniques which will usually be between one and two weeks. He will arrange a follow up session, where there will be opportunity to discuss progress and then time to put more ‘’hands on’’ training into effect.

Telephone support between the assessment and the follow up is always available if you need it.

You may even decide to learn other things you can train with your dog, such as Agility, Obedience, Working Trials, including tracking,  Gundog Work or just a happy mixture to keep you and your dog stimulated and working together.

Training sessions will usually be of a practical nature in the environment most appropriate to the dog and the aim of the training.
